ALASKA FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY 4TH YEAR SUB-INTERNSHIP

The Providence Alaska Family Medicine Residency (AFMR) offers a 4 week long rotation to 4th year medical students who are interested in family medicine as a future career as well as plans to apply for Residency with the AFMR.  Students interested in this rotation must be from a medical program that is LCME accredited and located in the US.  Preference is given to students with ties to Alaska, but is not required. If you have a passion for family medicine and want to work in rural communities, they encourage you to apply. These sub-internships are filled for 2017-2018. Any students submitting an application for 2017-2018 will be put on a waiting list.  AFMR is now accepting applications for sub-intern rotations for the 2018-2019 academic year, due no later than February 28, 2018. The Alaska AHEC application below can be used and submitted directly to their student rotation coordinator, By Thao, at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with a subject line heading: Application for Sub-Internship (Student name, 2018-2019).
